mination of progesterone was not significantly associated with pregnancy outcome. This study sug- gests that decreases in estradiol concentrations rela- tive to control mares and elevations in AFP concentrations, within 7 days of parturition or abor- tion, may be useful in predicting abnormal pregnancy outcomes during late gestation based upon a single serum sample.
